Umm, I’m confused. I know Coppell filed lawsuits with 3-4 other cities that would face similar financial woes regarding HB 4072 and current rule 3.334. In May of 2021, this very bad bill never made it for a House vote during the TX legislative session so I thought HB 4072 was dead. Or, does “dead” simply mean until the next legislative session? Hmm?
Eric's right, Darla. HB 4072 would have put some legislative teeth behind Hegar's proposal. Although the bill didn't pass, the proposal is still out there.

While the bill may have failed to pass, Glenn Hagar's "administrative tweak" attempt lives on. Thus the suit lives on.
