Santa Coming to Havencrest Yet Again • Community’s Input on Vacancy Unveiled • New Memorials Policy Put Into Practice • Storage Units OK'd With Promise of Store
In my dreams a Central Market or Dillard's would go into the old Frye's space. In reality the only "upgrade" I can think of for the area that might be a possibility is REI. But I have a feeling that when it's announced I'm going to be rolling my eyes over the claim that it's so fabulous it will raise property values for people who live close by.
Wouldn’t consider it high-end, but think Costco might be smart to go into a spot in that area. I’d love to have a traditional department store over there, but with all of the online shopping I’ve done this wknd, I’m not sure I could make a biz case to support that want.
Music City Mall is the name that the Dallas Comic Show is using in their marketing. That show happens inside that mall multiple times per year, so I figure the show organizers will be clued into a rebranding of the mall when it happens.
The Scheels website says its store in The Colony is 331,000 square feet, which would make it almost three times as large as this mysterious building planned on 635. But it also says that's the biggest Scheels store anywhere, so I guess a 116,000-square-foot version is possible.
Thanks for another interesting edition. I especially enjoyed your analysis of the Coppell ISD Board vacancy emails.

Since it sold, is it actually Music City Mall anymore?
Like you son, I saw & liked the Coppell logo being on the end of the track supports.
