You should be proud of those precinct maps. Those are fascinating. Great work, Dan.

Thank you for the many details of the voting. I loved the maps. I wish more people cared enough to vote!

I knew this edition would be full of the Election results- loved your precinct maps, they gave great insight to how folks voted for & against.

On my way home from work late last night (heading North) on S. Beltline Rd. thru the construction zone & drizzling rain an enormous concrete over-pass bridge appeared above of blackness. I slowed, grabbed my phone to take a pic. I was like “Oh Wow!, I gotta see this thing in the daylight!” Needless to say, I was a bit surprised and very impressed because it wasn’t there the night before!

We had voter turnout rates of 19 percent in the City of Coppell and 18 percent in Coppell ISD. To put those statistics in perspective:

• In Highland Park ISD, 15 percent of registered voters helped decide who would win a seat on the Board of Trustees.

• In Richardson, 13 percent of voters participated in their mayoral election.

• In Oak Cliff, 9 percent of voters bothered with a hotly contested Dallas City Council election.

• In Garland ISD, 8 percent of voters weighed in on a bond package worth more than $1.2 billion.

Will the turf last as long as it takes to pay off the bond that we passed to pay for it?

A little harsh but I get it’s business. I believe in such a small community we need to help our business and shop local. Natural Grocers tends to cater to a certain clientele with certain foods, vitamins, etc. if you haven’t been to one, you should go get the sale items while they are closing.

Every community needs smaller, not big chain grocery stores. We are losing a great local store.

Hopefully we can keep Sprouts otherwise we will have nothing but the big stores here. How do you know they are doing fine?

I am distraught that Natural Grocers is closing. Why can’t we keep good places opened here? Should the city do something to keep good places here?

Tom Thumb, Market Street, Sprouts, and Kroger are all doing fine in Coppell. If our Natural Grocers location attracted as many shoppers as those stores, then the folks at the chain's corporate office probably wouldn't have opted to close it.
