I love the idea of expanding and renaming Old Town! Do it!

Dan, I was thrilled and spoiled to get the "paper" copy of the chronicle at the parade!

I didn't see any updates on the opening of Beltline, it seems awful close. Would be nice to find a date (if there is one). As always...great job!

Dave, the city posted this update on July 7: "There are no additional concrete pours currently scheduled for this week or next. The focus will shift to median landscaping, traffic signal work, and street lights. We're almost there!" Here's where I found that: https://coppelltx.gov/1051/S-Belt-Line-Reconstruction-Updates

Dan, I heard Kroger is looking to move the gas pumps to the corner of Sandy Lake / MacArthur. They might have received permission from the landlord for that. No idea if this is true or an unfounded rumor.

Scott, I'll look into that.

Hi Dan. Any idea why the building that was formerly Frost Bakery is still empty?

Dallas, I've tried to get in touch with that building's Abilene-based owner before, without any luck. But I'll try again.

Thanks for the great update. Any chance of getting a copy of the retreat recording? I don’t see it online.

Regarding that "potential legislation" I mentioned in the article about Coppell ISD bonds being on sale: https://www.texastribune.org/2023/07/10/texas-legislature-property-tax-cuts-deal/

I agree that that area shouldn't be called "Old Town." In fact, I don't know when or why it changed from it's original plan called "Main Street Coppell." Dan, I'm going to message you with images that I have from the original concept map and brochure for that area. You'll be amazed. ;)
