I think Trustee Sethi is on the right track. Whatever happens with the facilities, the IB program should be expanded to include a middle school to create a complete K-12 IB program. My second hand understanding of the IB Program at the Uplift North Hills charter, a K-12 in Irving, is they have way more applications each year than spaces to fill. With declining enrollment in CISD, open enrollment for the K-12 IB program would help fill seats.

BIG WIND last night, Sat., May 25-26. Riverchase Estates, just east of Riverchase Golf Course: A branch of my front yard tree was torn off, about 1 1/2 " in diameter. Lots of twigs on my grass and my next door neighbor's grass. Then I saw at the corner house, Beacon Hill & Westchester a LARGE branch was torn off, about 4" in diameter. Driving to church at 10:00 am I saw most of the front lawns had twigs torn from high winds. The surprise was the TRAFFIC SIGNAL at Riverchase and Sandy Lake Roads was OUT. I passed a police car headed that way that would have seen the defunct signal. Sure enough, 2 hours later there were portable STOP SIGNS at that intersection. So, church wasn't the only news of the day!
