Coppell ISD Facing More Budget Cuts • Bond Projects to Resume in New Order • Make a Child Smile Benefits Local Kids • Community Supports Noncompliant Carport
So, on one hand the district is saying they are going to shut down schools and programs and the other hand they are creating jobs that need to be funded. This makes no sense and is why I voted against VATRE. They need to start cutting admin positions that are unnecessary before they cut programs that are.
As someone who has done many home improvement projects both big and small and always went through Coppell’s permit process, I find Derric Bonnot’s story very annoying. When I googled his name and discovered he works for a very large, very popular local church, I am even more annoyed that a Christian would try so hard to justify breaking the rules.
Incredible! I was a new donor, influenced to give by knowing what’s going on with our school district’s budget (all thanks to you!). Obviously, there’s an appitite for Coppellians to give to CISD, just not through VATRE.
Thanks, Dan!
Thank you for keeping us informed!
I enjoy your writing.
Go Cowboys!
Unrelated to this edition, but do you know if our recycling actually gets recycled? I hope it's not just another stream to a landfill 🤞

Do you know what the previous record for Give For Grants was?
If you take out the contributions from booster clubs and PTOs, the campaign brought in $59,504 this year. The previous high was $29,651.

I do not, but I can ask the people who would know.
