Nice article, hopefully it will help the city see our point and allow the reserved signs.

Very exciting news that Coppell is getting a Trader Joe's!

Here's a scoop for you that anyone from Ohio will be thrilled to hear. Ralph and I are opening a Donatos Pizza franchise in Flower Mound (1400 Long Prairie Rd) in September. We are going to do 3 locations and are looking for a place in Coppell for our second location.

As someone who also grew up, and still lives, down the street from the Duck Pond, I was so excited about the much needed face lift!! Cool to know that it’s one of the originals.

Good story about parking in old town. I couldn't stop laughing. One thing you might want to check on. You say that the Duck Pond is Coppell's oldest park ... but that honor might actually belong to Grapevine Springs Park adjacent to the senior center which dates to 1936 when it was constructed by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) during the Great Depression.

James, good point. I guess the distinction is that the Duck Pond Park was the first one funded and built by the city.

"...Margaret Bryan’s memories of fishing several children out of the pond."

How big do they have to be in order to not have to be thrown back in?
